I’ll keep this short - if you need a counsellor Amanda Burbidge is your person. Empathetic and discerning, while also down to earth and practical. Boy does she know her stuff!!

Amanda is an excellent counsellor and helped me enormously whilst I was seeing her last year. I have been through a number of issues in my life and Amanda was quickly able to identify some of the main problems and help me work through them and set me the number of exercises, new habits and targets which I'm still using to assist me in my progress. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amanda services to anyone else and look forward to seeing her again in the future

i contacted Amanda regarding counselling for bipolar and anxiety. even though my appointment was not for 2 weeks all she was pushing for was for me to transfer the 45 ponds straight away. She then went on to tell me that she did not think i was committed enough as it was my partner who sent the email even though i explained i asked my partner to send the email on my behalf. She kept pushing to prove my commitment i must pay the money as soon as possible and proceeded to give me her bank details and then kept saying i must pay before we can discuss anything else. Overall the whole experience has left me frustrated and disgusted to be treated in this way while feeling at my lowest.

When I started counselling with Amanda I was skeptical as to whether i would gain anything from it, but she helped me deal with several things I was struggling with at the time and helped me improve my own social skills.

I approached Amanda for counselling 12 months ago due to several dependency and severe anxiety issues. I was very nervous and apprehensive regarding entering into counselling and had to summon the courage to attend for the first few appointments. Amanda was very patient and I quickly felt more at ease and comfortable discussing several very sensitive issues. She listened quietly as I spoke, did not interrupt me and posed questions to me that (unbeknown to me at the time) led me to explore my thoughts and feelings and helped me to reach clarity in certain areas I was struggling with. Her counselling is extremely professional, always conducted at my chosen pace with non judgement and compassion. It was important to myself that I ‘warmed’ to my counsellor and I find Amanda to be a caring and incredibly affable counsellor who takes her role seriously and with sensitivity. I have found my experience with Amanda to be hugely beneficial and could not recommend her highly enough.

I started counselling about a year ago now i felt very apprehensive about counselling as I’ve never been through this before but once I started to talk my nerves went I’ve had a lot issues that have come up through the counselling sessions but I would say that with the counselling we go at the clients pace and it’s a place that you can really open up in.It is completely confidential.I would say that having counselling it has helped me to understand me as a person more and to explore how I can improve on some of my ways I think. If anybody is considering counselling I would definitely recommend Amanda

Amanda is a fantastic person and a fantastic Practitioner. Her humility belies a plethora of other skills as well as NLP and Hypnotherapy, and she uses those skills amazingly.

Comes highly recommended.

Dear Amanda

I realised I haven’t thanked you for all the help you have given my daughter.
Over the five sessions you have seen her, she has made the most incredible progress. At the beginning of June she was in a very bad place and really struggling, but she now feels really positive and optimistic about the future. I am so relieved and happy that she is getting back to her normal self and also has some techniques to cope with difficult situations in the future.

Thank you very much!
