I decided to see a counsellor because I was feeling stressed and I knew that I needed help in understanding it before it became unmanageable. Before my first session with Amanda I was nervous because I was worried that all of my problems weren’t really that bad and I was just being dramatic. Amanda was lovely and I told her all of the things I thought were making me stressed but the main topic was not what I had expected to talk about. Amanda saw what I couldn’t and helped guide me back to reality - sometimes you need to let out the old before you can process the new. I have had counselling before but Amanda was different because I felt she helped me in such a genuine and structured way. Before my counselling sessions I felt lost and I now feel excited for the new year and how I will approach things.
